Last updated: April 1, 2026

Dark Sky Analytics ("Dark Sky," "the Service") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.

Website URLs you submit: When you scan a page, we crawl the publicly accessible URL you provide and analyze its content. We store the URL, the analysis results, and your page scores.

Traffic analytics data: If you install our analytics beacon, we collect anonymous pageview data (page URL, referrer, timestamp, country) for your site. We do not use cookies, and we do not track individual visitors across sites.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data handling.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the Dark Sky Analytics service: delivering page analysis reports, monitoring your pages on schedule, sending email digest reports, and tracking your page traffic. We also use your email to send transactional messages (reports, alerts, account updates).

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

Your account data and analysis history are retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

You can request a copy of your data, request deletion of your data, or update your account information at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
